Pre-recorded Audio Description
It is now possible to import pre-recorded audio description MP3 or WAV files as a stream and output them to visually impaired audience from Sopratext Venue Software.
This is an exciting initiative in Creative Captioning, particularly where the aim is to off Access at every show or when a show is on tour and cost is an important factor.
Working with Audio Describer Willie Hamilton, who is also a Stagetext qualified Captioner, and Rockbottom Dance on their recent National Tour we added pre-recorded audio description MP3 files of the production as a separate output stream in our Sopratext Venue Software. This enabled Willie to output Captions and Audio Description simultaneously output from the same lap-top using Sopratext Venue Software.
