Automatically translate output streams into another language
As an assist to outputting in multiple languages, we have created an additional App that connects our Venue Software to Google Translate and will translate an output stream cue by cue into any language available in Google translate, create as an additional output stream and display either of the language streams on any of our connectable display devices. This includes Logo-graphic languages such as Chinese and Japanese.
If you are outputting to Venue Caption Units or other Digital 4 LED Displays then the choice of language displayed and on which display it is shown rests with the Captioner/Operator. So, for example, it is now perfectly possible, using two Venue Caption Units, to Caption shows in Wales in English and Welsh using only one Captioner.
If you are Closed Captioning then a drop-down box showing all available language stream shows on the Tablet or Smart Caption Glasses and either the user or the Theatre FOH assistant can set the language to be viewed.
Because all our Display Devices can be used simultaneously, it would now be possible to Caption in English on Captions units and also to support audience members who do not have English as their first language by offering them Captions in their own language on Tablets or Smart Caption Glasses.
Alternatively Venues who have a large number of tourists coming to their shows could offer Closed Captioning in multiple languages as an additional service to offer their visiting audiences.
