Our clients include:
The Royal Festival Hall, Edinburgh International Festival, The Royal Opera House, The Royal College of Music, Garsington Opera, Glyndebourne Opera, Grange Park Opera, Nevill Holt Opera, Snape Maltings, and Grange Festival Opera.
It is, of course, fantastic to have so many well known clients but we are equally delighted to work with many new and smaller professional Opera companies such as “Everybody Can Opera”and also an increasing number amateur groups who are keen to surtitle their performances.
All our systems are available for purchase or hire.
Bespoke LED Displays
RGB LED Surtitle Displays offer many benefits for Opera Surtitling:
“Black is Black” – when you show text on an LED display the only LEDs that are illuminated are the foreground, that is the LEDs that are actually making up the letters of the text in the surtitle. The back-ground remains off and black. If you project surtitles or show them on LCD Displays you are always either projecting Black or illuminating Black which show as dark grey.
With advances in LED Technology and the reduction in pitch (the distance between pixels)
We manufacture the main centrally located Surtitle Displays in different sizes to suit our clients and their venue. In the Royal Festival Hall their full-colour display is 7500mm wide x 750mm high with a 3.9mm pitch – it is after all a very big hall.
The new main display at Grange Opera is 3000mm x 500mm at 3.9mm pitch.
We have a range of Opera Surtitle Systems available for purchase or for hire – our screen in the Southbank centre is 8000mm wide – the screen used by The Royal College of Music is 1800mm wide.
As well as offering bespoke LED Screens as the main Surtitle Display our Venue Software can also Project Surtitles.
At Garsington we have added small TFT screens to show the surtiltles in the Disabled Areas either side of the stage, for Grange Festival Opera we have included wide-aspect ration LCD Screens installed for seating areas that have an obscured view of the main display.
We can also output the surtitles as an overlay on the video show relay on LCD Displays in the reception areas so latecomers can enjoy the surtitles as they wait.
